7. What are some of the local interesting places to visit?
We have a wonderful Downtown area with historical buildings and shops. Murphy Park has 10 lighted tennis courts, a new swimming pool, lots of mature pecan trees,a miniature golf course, American Legion Hall and a covered pavilion for events.  A
1 ½ mile hike and bike trail is at Bull Branch park with a first come first serve covered pavilion. There is also a fishing pier and playground. Granger Lake with 4,400 surface acres is ranked 1 out of 5 of  the best crappie-fishing lakes in Texas. The
Moody Museum is open on Sundays from 2 to 5 pm. It is the boyhood home of Daniel Moody, the youngest governor of Texas.
